What people say?

I would definitely recommend The Carers Road Show crowd funding as it provides an invaluable service to so many people. It is our responsibility to be able to help each other, and the great thing is, when we help one person it ripples out into the wider community. This is such a priceless resource!

I just wanted to feedback my experience of attending the last three roadshows in Newark, Mansfield and Retford. I have spoken on average to 11 people at each event. They were all relevant questions on subjects like Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance and Council Tax Discounts. There are people that would not normally think of contacting Nottinghamshire County Council for help and would not therefore have received the help they are entitled to without attending the roadshows. Looking to the future I do hope they will continue to be organised. Thanks again Trevor and well done
Nice to see you again and thanks for all the effort you put into the Roadshow. It's very enjoyable and a great way to tell people who we are and what we do. It puts a human face on providers and enables us to talk to people we wouldn't normally reach. It's a much more effective way of reaching out to people than merely putting it online. So many needy people don't have internet access. It's also a great way for providers to network. We find out what else is available and can pass this on to the people we provide for. We can also exchange resources, ideas and work collaboratively by promoting one another's services and ensuring we do not compete with similar activities and the same time. It's invaluable. There is nothing else like this for passing information between providers and to carers. Thanks again Trev and please keep going!

The carers roadshow is one of it's kind not only does it offer instant support for our local hidden carers but it's also an enabler for Personalised care for carers. The NHSE 5 year Forward View and the Care Act both talk about supporting carers better-well non better than to do this than to have carers supporting carers at Roadshows

Thank you for your and your team’s great efforts in organising the carers roadshow, inviting the Lord Mayor, and gathering professionals in one place, and for giving the chance to promote our groups and activities.

Much appreciated.
Have a nice week,
Kind regards,

DEMENTIA DEVELOPMENT WORKER TRENT DEMENTIA

The Carers Road Show have been a really valuable ‘vehicle ‘ for us to promote our dementia services to the general public, especially to those who wouldn’t otherwise know where to look for help or know what services are available.

As a charity it always good to be invited to an event with a free stall. This means we at Versus Arthritis can maximise the amount of printed information we give to people with arthritis. It also means that we can attend more event thus reaching more people
